There are 4 variants for each of it:

  1. Lights up when redstone is connected
  2. Lights up at night (AUTO)
  3. Always lit up (ON)
  4. Slab version of always lit up

How to change the shape in survival mode?

You need a Lamp Shape Transformer.

Here is the craft:

And when you have it on mainhand, you can right click on a lamp and it will change the shape.
